NOVA Scotia – Subconscious Entrance

This is hereby the official script when NOVA Scotia enters his own subconscious, and through the teachings of AVAL, he is able to uncover his own remarkable power and learns how to use the imperial torch to transform to SuperNOVA – his ultimate, super powerful state.

NOVA SCOTIA Hits the ground with a thud, is dazed for a moment, and then awakens. While scratching his head, he observes his surroundings, confused as ever, and then somebody looms close toward him.

NOVA: Who… who is it? Where am I?
UNKNOWN: Don’t worry, NOVA. You’re in a safe place. I assure you.
NOVA: Just… who are you?
UNKNOWN: I’m AVAL Ravos. This is your subconscious, where I have been living for quite some time.
NOVA: AVAL… you mean in Avalais?
AVAL: Oh yes… that little treaty. Yes, I am AVAL from Avalais. My best friend… well… rival… I don’t know anymore… well his name was Ais. You can do the math, can’t you?
NOVA: You two… why the hell did you confirm that treaty? If it perished, we’d be so far in technology… I mean… all we have is space travel! Nothing else! You halted time for so long, and for what?
AVAL (Keeping his calm): You know perfectly well….
AVAL points at NOVA, and lowers his eyebrows.
AVAL: We used all the technology in the world in order to protect a sealed beast….
NOVA: WHAT? So… you mean… this whole time… those rumors were false? You really were trying to protect everyone? But… from what?
AVAL: I know you’ve heard it too many times for comfort, but… we were protecting you from something I created out of hate and greed… my very own technological masterpiece.
Almost instantly, NOVA understood. His mouth gaped in horror as he finally realized how everything was connected all the way back from the treaty of AVALais.
NOVA: NOOOO!!!! It can’t be! The thing my father kept hidden from everyone… the thing he himself let loose from his passive state… the thing that destroyed the planet Magi and placed a death sentence on AMII’s parents as well… it was all from what you had created? …But… what did you create?
AVAL: This story must be told very discreetly, or else… okay?
NOVA: Fine. FINE!
AVAL: Well I was somewhat in my youth; maybe about 25 or so. Even at such a young age, my knowledge for technology and how things worked was overwhelming. I was, and this was by universal fact, the best technological craftsman in existence. I decided the time had come for me to set up my own business, and well… I needed a large planet to work on. Trust me, the technology stuff in them days took up a lot of space. I found a desolate planet in the midst of nowhere where I could work quietly and quickly on any commission sent to me. Little did I know that someone else also had his eyes on the planet? His name was Ais. Now it was universally known that there was one great person in technology…. That was me. Then, it was also universally known that there was an extremely powerful Magi in existence. Ais… yes…. Ais was his name.
NOVA: A war broke out, obviously.
AVAL: Yes. Machine against magic. It was the most epic battle of that millennium. Your battle right now could be the most intense battle of this millennium. Hehe… anyways… this war lasted a long time. I used most of my resources and he overwhelmed his powers to a point of exhaustion, but the fighting never seemed to stop, until….
NOVA: You… you didn’t!!!!
AVAL: It… it was an underground project! I used the actual life energy from the planet in order to power this machine so no matter what, besides from utter destruction, the beast would never die.
NOVA: This… is your entire fault!
AVAL: I a sense, yes. But listen to the rest of the story. I unleashed the beast after a few years of powering, and in less than a day it had destroyed everything Ais ever tried to create against me. Against the destructive beast, who I not-really proudly call Mizron, he was powerless, and I had finally won, but the beast did not rest there. It disobeyed my orders when I told it to stop, and continued destroying other planets, killing billions of people. I was distraught. Soon enough this caught the eye of the Inter-Universal defense and security committee and the condemned both Ais and me due to a … and I still laugh at this part… a “lack of understanding”.
NOVA: What the heck does that mean anyway?
AVAL: HAH! I have no idea. I was amused for a while, but instead of them sentencing us to prison… or worse…. They began a defense force against Mizron himself! Ais and I were in charge.
NOVA: Interesting. What happened next?
AVAL: Well, between Ais and me, we were able to seal the beast temporarily. You know, he chanted a few of his most powerful spells while I developed some of my most sophisticated and intricate pieces of technology, and together they were able to channel the beast towards a desolate planet, and sealed the beast within it. And then… well, you know the rest. Your father made it break free… eh….
NOVA: What?
AVAL: It wasn’t your father’s fault…. It wasn’t Seven’s fault either. NOVA… again… it was my fault…. I guess AVAL Ravos isn’t a great name to bear today.
NOVA: RAVOS! Are you, like, AMII’s ancestor or something?
AVAL: Actually, yes, I am. I had a son, Aigrith Ravos….
NOVA: AIGRITH? THE AIGRITH THAT’S OUTSIDE? The Aigrith that my father and Seven met? That Aigrith?
AVAL: Yes…. YES! Aigrith is AMII’s ancestor as well. Funnily enough, you are Ais’ descendant, NOVA. That is why your family line was blessed with magical abilities. You want to know what else? Aveon is also a descendant of Ais. That is how Seven knew Aigrith.
NOVA: …Really? Aveon and I are related? That’s amazing! But I can’t believe how Aigrith is actually AMII’s ancestor. He’s so evil!
AVAL: That’s what I’m trying to say. I sent Aigrith to the future so he could tell you that the beast would be coming. And well… something must have happened, and he turned to his evil side. This led him to get your father and Aveon’s father to meet him. After he handed them the note, he pressed a button, right?
NOVA: Correct.
AVAL: Well, that button didn’t transport him away, but it actually transported him straight into the beast, Mizron! The only reason Mizron seemed docile was because Aigrith commanded him to. Aigrith intended to frame either Seven or Zevone for the hideous crime of “awakening” the beast. It worked successfully. I guess everything happened for a reason. You see, Ais did something to me that I could never forgive him for.
NOVA: Something as bad as destroying billions of people?
AVAL: Oh… well… that was all in the past. We’d repented for our sins at the time, and we were fast friends. Although, the day after I sent Aigrith into the future was a traumatic day. I woke up to discover that Ais had stolen my Imperial Fire Torch….
NOVA: You’re mad at him for that? A stupid torch?
AVAL: It’s the one that that Inter-Universal emperor awards you for being the most prominent figure in universal society. It was a great symbol of power and sentiment of truth. …You have it, don’t you?
NOVA held up his strange weapon. Immediately, AVAL begins to whimper.
NOVA: This? I don’t even have a name for it yet.
AVAL: Oh my… oh my… it’s really true… you do have my old Imperial Torch as a weapon! Oh wow!
NOVA: I’m confused… tell me….
AVAL: After Ais stole the Torch, I never wanted to hear from him anymore. He settled down on the planet you call home, while I stayed on my own planet, the one AMII calls home. This is where destiny kicks in. You and AMII met. That was not expected from either of us… or you… but it happened. This gave Ais a close enough range to talk to my spirit. It was a bittersweet reunion, but he explained the reason for taking my torch.
NOVA: So he could give it to me?
AVAL: Exactly. Ais knew that one of his descendants would have the inner power strong enough to destroy the beast, but he did not know which one. So he created a very unique spell that went along with a very unique weapon. He already had a son and a daughter, Monugro, who in fact was the figure head behind the entire Avalais treaty, and Ephyra. You descend from Ephyra, NOVA. Knowing he had a legacy that could continue down the generations, he chanted every possible super powerful spell known to mankind upon the torch. This completely drained him of any life force, and he died immediately. The spell he chanted stated that the chosen one of his descendants would somehow have his destiny crossed with that of the Imperial Torch and the owner’s descendant. The Imperial Torch part was obvious. I guess he wanted you to have it. As for the owner’s descendant… I guess he wanted to apologize, because he knew that my spirit would be within AMII.
NOVA: That’s… just… simply amazing… really…. But one thing…. The torch is powerless against Aigrith and that stupid beast!
AVAL: Well, that’s where I play my part. Being a technological genius, I have gained respect for the seven acts of spiritual unity and emotional outlook. I call it the S method.
NOVA: The seven acts of spiritual unity and emotional outlook? What the hell is that?
AVAL: That, my friend, is something that will help you unlock your inner power. But don’t worry about time, NOVA. Every year spent within here is merely a split-second in your world. As you can see, I have been here for a very, very long time, and my spirit will pass away as soon as you can destroy that beast. I will be at peace again.
NOVA: The S method will help me unlock my inner power? How?
AVAL: Simple, really. All you have to do is realize and understand the significance of each of the seven acts. We’ll start with act 1. Are you ready?
NOVA: Ready as I’ll ever be!
AVAL: Okay, now clear your mind of anything disruptive.
NOVA: Okay…. Hmmmm…
AVAL: Now try to realize what the first act of the seven acts should be. You should not count this one as a physical act, but more like a pathway that can channel your power once you understand the other acts. Think carefully….
NOVA: Uh… a pathway that can channel my power from within…. Um… could it be, uh… breathing…?
AVAL: Amazing! I never would have expected you to get it in one go. You’re truly powerful, young hero.
NOVA: I would never have expected it to be something so simple and given.
AVAL: Well, you must think of breathing and control two ways. One: you must accept that it is an inevitability. As time passes, so too do you breathe. So too is your inner mind and spirit cleansed with each breath of life you take. Two: You must build from nature a system of breathing. Although it is your instinct, it is simply a foundation granted upon you from an omnipotent being. You have the power yourself to improve on it, so it can be a great threshold for your inner power to progress. Do you understand?
NOVA takes a few deep breaths, and then finally answers
NOVA: I… I do…. Breathing is not only the source but also the guide to power…. I understand….
NOVA opens his eyes, and to his surprise he can see a faintly glowing aura around his body.
NOVA: What… what…?
AVAL: That’s your ticket out of your subconscious. Once you have mastered the seven acts, you will have enough spiritual power to break free of this demeaning place. Once you return to the real world, all that spiritual energy will be transformed into physical energy and you will be totally renewed in terms of strength.
NOVA: I… feel more powerful already!
NOVA is still taking lengthy, deep breaths, so as not to break loose of the teachings of the first act
AVAL: Now since you have understood the first act, we will move on to the second. This act is a member of a group of four that these acts are referred to. The bottom line is that these four acts represent and control the physical universe at large. With that sign of magnitude, All humans should respect them greatly, and know with each individual act comes its own attributes.
NOVA: I know…. The four elements: Fire, Water, Air and Earth. As a collective, they are a representation of the physical state of existence while on their own they have their limitations but are still recognized as great universal forces.
AVAL: Interesting explanation, NOVA. Even though you may have thought that you learned nothing from your father and your experience on your planet, you truly have.
Anyways… close your eyes again. The second act, and the first element, is the destructive element of fire. Many see fire as a servant to humans, but they are blind sighted at the fact that the humans are truly fire’s slaves. In its true form, fire is a master of destruction, a symbol of harshness and a representation of disgust. From this act you must recognize the great importance of fire. While it is destructive, it is still life, and nothing is able to live without it. This is truly why we are the slaves and fire is the master. We depend on fire, while at the same time; it either can destroy us or have pity on us. Most of the times, though, we are powerless to its glory. Humans, though, in its entirety, have failed to respect the great element, and that, my friend, NOVA Scotia, is what I am trying to instill within you.
NOVA: Yes… I understand…. Fire is the element of power… destruction… violence… yet it too is the element of nature, brilliance and life.
NOVA’s aura grew significantly brighter.
AVAL: Ah, yes, you have understood the concept of the second act. Now, I will… OH MY! I almost forgot!
NOVA: What?
AVAL: You need this.
AVAL reveals a bowl of black paint. He quickly paints it across NOVA’s face, arms and shirt.
AVAL: This paint is symbolic of your understanding of the seven acts. I could not perform it at the end of all the sessions, and you’ll know why soon. The paint is on your face, your arms and your shirt, representing that you take into account the importance of the seven acts with all your mind, all your actions and all your heart. Now, let’s move on to the third act. This act is the elemental opposite of fire, so while they are together in the order of the acts, their contrast represents the universe in its whole.
NOVA: Okay… I understand….
AVAL: When you think about water, you envision purity. That is right, although, that is only half the picture. You must understand that each element contains a positive reaction as well as a negative. Water, in its deepest respects, is symbolic of grief, and loss. Just like water adapts to the container in which it is held, so too must humans adapt to the several changes occurring every second within the universe, as well as their own grief. Like fire is our master, water represents our guide. We must not overpower water, and it cannot overpower us either. We must learn to let it help us on our own way, and everything it represents is significant of this act. Only through proper understanding can you acknowledge and respect this element, and achieve mastery over this act.
NOVA: Yes… It’s all clear to me now. Water is a representation of a guide, and neither a slave nor our master….
Once again, NOVA’s aura became brighter and harsher.
NOVA: I… feel more powerful in every respect… this is amazing….
AVAL: Yes, NOVA. I know how you have been struggling with power ever since you were born. Now, finally, you are able to understand your own power and achieve the supreme command over it.
NOVA: My… emotions were the source of my power….
AVAL: A misconception indeed. Your emotions were the gate that locked away your hidden abilities. The more emotion you used the more power you were able to release. Of course, the only way you could channel that type of energy was with your weapon. Now, I am teaching you how to use your energy from within, manifest it into something unbelievable and then unleash the power through your weapon. Your power will exceed your own expectations.
NOVA: That’s… a very well-thought concept…. It’s unbelievable how I never knew….
AVAL: Now that that’s cleared up, it’s time to move on to the fourth act – the third element we will focus on. It’s the almighty earth element. Earth is an element unlike any other. It does not need to be created, fused, or blown in order to work, it is just there. Without Earth we would have nowhere to thrive. This is exactly what I am trying to say. Like water is our guide through life, and fire has mastery over us, earth commits a humble act of foundation. We must understand that earth is our foundation. It is a symbol of stability, while at the same time a symbol of recklessness. Do you understand?
NOVA: Yes…. It’s all too simple… earth is our foundation, as we thrive upon it. It’s a stronghold which can also cause haphazardness throughout the universal order….
AVAL: Brilliant!
NOVA’s aura improved its brilliance.
NOVA: This is all too confusing…. Why, AVAL is this too easy for me?
AVAL: Only for you, NOVA. What you have done in five minutes took me millions of tries to achieve. Your inner power is just dying to get out, therefore fuelling your understanding.
NOVA: Interesting….
AVAL: Now we arrive at the final element, Air. Air is also a symbol of life, but in an entirely different aspect. Just like oxygen supports fire, so too do the elements support each other. While fire represents life, air is the essence of life. Air is a symbol of ease, swiftness and freedom, while also a symbol of silent destruction. Together – our master, fire, our guide, water, our foundation, earth, and our essence, air – they make up the subconscious governing bodies within life and the universe. Do you understand?
NOVA did not even have to answer. His aura shone like no other ever before.
NOVA: WOW! I can feel my power tripling in strength!
AVAL: And it should. You have now gained understanding of the four acts of the physical universe. You have achieved mastery of the four physical components of the seven acts. You have overcome the pathway, and the physical acts. You have two left, NOVA, but these are the most difficult to comprehend. Are you ready?
NOVA: I… am… prepared….
AVAL: I can see that this has also been a period of growth and maturity for you, NOVA. No longer do you need your father’s teachings. And you should be happier without them.
NOVA: Why… why is that?
AVAL: You will soon see, my friend. Now we have to focus on the two final acts. This was just a test to see how well you are at ignoring distractions because that is how you can understand the acts fully and truly. So I ask you… are you ready to continue?
NOVA: …
NOVA does not reply. He is in an intense state of meditation.
AVAL: Remember, NOVA, you do not have too much time to answer. I understand that this is difficult for you….
NOVA: First, I had suspected my father was trying to betray me by agreeing to send me to this death match tournament. Then, he explained he was a Zema elder, and I did not believe that. Now I saw him last night, and for no particular reason he was here, and for some reason I know he was behind the reason why we were captured. What with Xavon coming out from nowhere, being allowed late entrance into these games and the unbelievable coincidence at how Xavon, Aveon, AMII and I didn’t have to face each other for the entire tournament… I surely do believe I understand what you mean when you say the bonds with my father will be broken soon. I am not eager, although I still await what is to come….
AVAL: Okay, but…
NOVA: although, I do understand that there is a time and place for everything and this is not the right time and place for that situation. Right now, I must focus on understanding the final two acts, and that is exactly what I am going to do.
AVAL: Bravo, NOVA. I see you have matured greatly in your quest for power. Now, since we have dealt with the four elements of the physical universe, we will proceed to understand the two most complex elements of the spiritual universe, namely the element of life, and…
NOVA: …The element of death.
AVAL: Excellent. First, we will begin with the element of life. You must understand that life is a gift bestowed upon all who enter existence, and also it is a natural order. Things are brought to life, and that is what we try to achieve. There are many life forms out there, and humans forget the respect it is to appreciate every single one. This is what you must realize, NOVA. Life cannot be taken for granted. The sixth act – life – is closely linked to the first act of breathing. Like breathing is the pathway for which your power is guided, the element of life is like the guardian of that pathway. Once the guardian breaks down, everything you have strived for ceases to exist. Do you understand?
NOVA: Yes…. Life is not a given. We must appreciate this gift to the utmost of our abilities.
NOVA’s aura increased in brightness. His now holy body was shining the brightest of gold.
AVAL: Now, before I teach you to understand the final act, I must say my final goodbye. After this act, your power will be so supernatural, it will break down any defense you might have for being in your own subconscious. I hope you have learned well.
NOVA: Thank you, AVAL.
AVAL: It was an honour, NOVA. Okay. It’s time to learn the final element…. Death. There is only one entity that can destroy the guardian. That is death. Death is a structured element, meaning it does not have a representation of anything, but succeeds itself instead, over and over. Just like the four elements, the pathway and the guardian especially all have an essence of life, death is the entity that destroys that essence, therefore destroys the entire element as well. Once all the elements in your existence have been destroyed, the heart stops and you die. Bottom line. Death is most horrific in many respects, but you must understand that it is the inevitability and the outcome of life. Without life there is no death, and vice versa. That is the order of life, and we must accept it.
NOVA: I am willing to accept it, AVAL. I am ready.
AVAL: Good. You now understand that everything in this universe will die eventually. It is the inevitability of life.
NOVA: Yes… everything will die inevitably. Every… thing….
AVAL: NOVA?
NOVA: AMII… you… you can’t die…. I… I won’t let it… I won’t let anything harm you.
AVAL: NOVA, don’t overstep your abilities. She, too, has a guardian within her, and death will smite it sooner or later. It is a fact. Our guardian is our own all-seeing being; therefore once it is dead, and we have no knowledge of anything beyond it, we must accept it and move on.
NOVA: No… it’s… difficult to comprehend… I….
AVAL: I can understand how difficult this must be for you, but once you understand this seventh and final act, you will have pure realization and no longer will you fear death. The final act is as majestic as it is horrific.
NOVA: No… AMII….
AVAL: You must understand that she is not the only one that will die. Everyone will die eventually. Your friends and your family will fall, but if you let this hinder you, then I guess you were just not ready for your powers….
NOVA: I am ready, AVAL…. I… am… ready… UNGH!!....
AVAL: …NOVA? NOVA!
NOVA lost consciousness and collapsed to the floor. His visions ceased, but then reappeared as he was traveling deeper into his subconscious.
AVAL: I feel he needs to deal with a certain issue deeper in his mind. I will let him discover it by himself. My work here is done.
NOVA awoke in an even darker area. His aura was still burning bright. He stood up slowly, still breathing heavily, his eyes seemed older, as if he was older himself – more mature; more realistic.
NOVA: This is the deepest part of my subconscious. I have come here because I need to face a demon in order to understand the seventh act, and to complete my study of the S method so I can leave.
AMII: I am your demon, NOVA. I am a manifestation of AMII herself who has been trapped in the part of your mind closest to your heart since the day we met. You must accept that you cannot have control over my own guardian. Everybody is responsible for their own guardian. Even so, nobody truly can control their guardian. It is more like they are overpowered by their guardian at the least, because no matter how you see it, all the elements are a part of you, and they literally control you. You have to destroy me now.
NOVA: AMII. I can’t… I can’t… release my love for you….
AMII: You are not releasing your love for me, NOVA. You are releasing yourself from any spiritual obligation towards me. Humans can only take precedence over physical attributes, and that is as far as you can go, NOVA. You have to accept that I will die one day. You have to!
NOVA: I… I…
NOVA envisions a sword, and one appears in his hands. He lifts it up slowly.
NOVA: I am sorry, AMII. I’m sorry that I cannot fully protect you. Your guardian is your own, and death will overcome it someday. I… I love you, but it’s time to break free.
AMII: Well spoken.
As NOVA’s decision is declared, the atmosphere turns even darker, and as he lifts up his sword, his inner mind flashes bright light then darkness. The atmosphere is intense as he swipes his blade across the air, slowly forwarding himself to AMII’s ghost, slowly understanding the acceptability of death and the responsibility he now must take for his soul to be free of any spiritual obligation. The accent of spiritual freedom is the main key as NOVA’s sword impales AMII from the side, slashing the ghost in two… while the            univ  ers e of                   his     open

The lights linger on, exemplifying freedom in its highest form…

This is the entire script for the subconscious experience. NOVA then returns to the real world and transforms into SuperNOVA, demonstrating his destructive power and amazing ability. Everyone gasps in awe, and he is now finally able to destroy Mizron.
